no.151 130928 Thank you for a fun bike ride

Taking a break after a long bike ride.
To take an advantage of this beautiful afternoon, I decided to go for a bike ride. I had a blast! Loved the breeze, loved the ride, loved the music, loved the scenery, loved the feeling, loved the new adventure (it was my first time completing the trail), loved the smell, loved pretty much everything except one thing. Oh man... there were so many crickets! I didn't mind their noise but they kept jumping around. I'm actually not sure if they were crickets or not. Some were small but some were big and juicy looking.... so grossed out by them. I was scared to run over them, but mostly afraid that they might jump and cling to my shoes or something. Eww! But thankfully that didn't happen. Phew!

It reminded me of my time in New York a couple of years ago. I probably said it many times but biking around the Central Park was one of my favourite memories of New York. I rented a bike near the Columbus Circle and rode it for more than two hours in the Central Park. It was so much fun! As I rode my bike today, it brought back all the memories. Good times. I got really tired at the end of the trail, but I still had to come back to the starting point. It took me about half an hour to get there... which was only about a quarter of what I did in New York. Yet, my legs were extremely tired. I kept wondering how I rode the bike for so long back then. Now that I think about it, I was way more fit than now. Before I went to New York, for about 6 months, I was working out almost every day for an hour. No wonder it makes sense to be able bike for more than a couple of hours! Plus, I was younger... Yes, I couldn't feel my legs the next day, and my feet and my butt were hurting really bad.

My legs are starting to feel sore. I know I'll have a hard time walking tomorrow. I'm slightly worried about basketball... but I should be fine! Anyways, I'm going to try to take my bike out as often as I can until it gets really cold!
