I couldn't update my blog yesterday because I wasn't feeling well in the evening and I kind of fell asleep. When I woke up from my sleep, it was already past midnight! So, I apologize for skipping for the very first time. I hope to not make this happen again.
I had a fundraiser BBQ on Saturday for a few people (including myself) who needed financial support for the short term missions. The three of us arrived at a friend's place to prepare the food and get ready for the evening. In my Mexico team, we have a member who is an amazing cook, and he was the one who prepared everything for everybody. He made some gourmet home burgers with sun dried tomatoes, sauteed mushroom and onions in the special sauce, homemade chipotle mayo, bacon, topped with provolone cheese. Mmmm! It was delicious! I'm so sad I forgot to take a photo before I took a big bite.
People were so generous. I was worried that we may not break even with the money we spent on the food. However, I was definitely wrong. Thanks everyone for your support! I also received these cute cards from two people. It was unexpected, and that's why it made me so happy! I was so touched by their thoughtful gesture. I'm thankful for a great turnout. I'm thankful for everyone's support! Much appreciated!
Oh, and on a side note, thank God for answering my prayer. It was one of the fastest prayers that's been answered. I was really amazed by it. It's a personal story, but hopefully I can share it on my blog sometime in the future!
