no.64 130703 Thank you for the matcha roll cake

I made a mini version of match roll cake with whipped cream.
Every night, I become Cinderella. If I know that there is a possibility of coming home late, I work on the blog before going out. My alarm goes off at 10PM everyday as a reminder. I need to complete it before the clock strikes midnight. I usually work on it in bed after the alarm. Sometimes feeling pressured to finish it on time.

I feel like the majority of the posts I put up lately is about food... which makes sense, because I've been doing a lot of cooking and baking, more than ever while my sister was back home. Half of me wanted to make delicious meals for her, and the other half just felt responsible to fill my mom's shoes. That's why I stepped out of my comfort zone, and challenged myself by making kimchi, LA galbi and this fish dish that I didn't share about. Although my sister went back last week, I'm still motivated to cook and bake. Today, I baked a Swiss roll cake for the first time. As you can see in the picture, it turned out pretty nice.

I'm thankful for the matcha roll cake! I guess it makes more sense to thank for green tea powder. I'm actually addicted to matcha desserts such as green tea latte, green tea ice cream, grean tea chocolate, green tea mochi, green tea macaron, green tea cake... you name it. There were times when I used to drink green tea latte three times a day. Yeah.. I was crazy but I'm much better now.

I want to share a verse today that I got from my daily Bible verse app. I don't worry because God knows what's best for me, and He already is directing me in the way I should go.

This is what the Lord says - your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
"I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go"
(Isaiah 48:17)
